Speak, Your Servant is Waiting
Father, I need to hear from you. Assumptions and guesswork, whispers
and desires, are not enough. I need to hear the servant’s ringing bell.
Speak to me loudly. Call my name. Let me hear your voice!
I know God, you do not speak audibly for our own good. If we should not
obey when standing in your presence, then we commit blasphemy against
you. God, I am ready to obey your command. I am ready to walk away and
follow you as a holy disciple set apart for you alone. I no longer wish
to serve myself, but to do your will my God. I want to be purchased from
the workplace, from my debts, from this world and sin, and sent into your
service in your kingdom. O, God, speak, your servant is waiting. Speak,
my King, that I might live for you alone. Call me by name, and send me
by your name, for the Kingdom is yours, the power is yours, and you alone
are God. Call me, Lord, that I may exult you in my flesh.
